Happy New Year!

As we step into the new year, I would like to thank each of you and your families for your prayers and support as I served for my eighth year as a missionary for Pais Movement in Brazil in 2025.

Thanksgiving for 2025

• Our teams in Brazil reached 7,179 teenagers aged 11 to 18 years old through weekly workshops and lunch clubs on biblical themes.
• We mentored 16 teenagers on a weekly basis. Pais Missionary Apprentices taught them to share their faith with others through evangelism, Bible study and mentoring.
• Seven missionaries graduated after either one or two years of service with Pais Movement in Brazil.

2025 was also my last year serving with the Pais Movement. A few days ago, I officially handed over the role of National Director and legal representative of the non-profit to Charles Galvão, a pastor who will move with his family from João Pessoa in north-east Brazil to São Paulo in the coming weeks to lead Pais. In my last update, I shared how Clara and I felt God had directed us to step back from my role at Pais—you can read that here.

This transition has given me a chance to reflect on all that God has done in my life since I signed up for a mission-focused gap year programme in 2017 and first came to Brazil. I'm grateful for everything I've learned, the skills I developed in my different roles, and the people I had the privilege of walking with.

In 2025, Clara and I also started our life together as a married couple. We've been building our life together, creating our new routine and furnishing our apartment.

Looking forward to 2026

• As the next step in my walk in Christian ministry, I will be taking on 25 to 30 hours of weekly classes and coursework as part of my Masters in Divinity in Biblical and Pastoral Studies. Classes start up at the end of January, after the summer break.
• I will continue to assist the pre-teens and youth ministry at my local church, São Paulo Memorial Baptist Church.
• Please pray that God would use my theological training, the ministries I am involved in and the pastors and leaders with whom I will be studying to provide guidance for my next steps in ministry and leadership.
